TV Series _Game of Thrones

Lately I was hooked by American TV Series entitled “Game of Thrones”. My officemates really loved this TV Series and they talk about the famous characters, lines and picturesque of the battle field. So I decided to watch this series. I bought 1 DVD at the bazaar in Antipolo City, this DVD contains the 10 chapters of Season 1.  Upon watching this series, I feel the excitement of every end of the chapter. I love the story: Love, despair, agony, betrayal, sins, battle, justice, family, clan, and power. It exhibits the history of power against other nations and diction of fix marriage among families or allies to engulf their sovereignty. After the Season I jumped into season 2 then on season 3, and finally waiting for season 4. 

I don’t want to elaborate the whole story; I just want to give complement to the writers, actors, and director of this TV Series.  After watching the Season 1, 2 and 3, I was inspired of being independent in my own decision. To choose what I wanted towards my sexual reference. It also emulates the status quo of politics. Corruption and Betrayal among leaders.  Traitor and scum to protect one’s dignity and glory.

This TV Series divulge gay relationship exist during that era. That love among men is usual, it’s not a mortal sin, it’s not psychological disorder. It’s just the way of expressing the true meaning of love with no boundaries. That love means power.  I wish I live in that era; maybe I just want to feel the same feeling of being loved by other man. Yes, I’m gay and I proud of it.  Lastly, I excited for the coming season 4, I really can wait because I’m a certified big fan!

Fashion for Less

Last week I’ve been in  168 Mall, 999 Mall and Tutuban Mall  in Manila. Before I go to Bazaar I  do make sure I have  list of items/ costume that I need to buy in  much as possible with target price so that I can maximize the money that I  had.

Luckily, I got the things that I wanted. Everything looks great   in a perfect combination of Checkered Polo with matching blue blazer and brown pants.  Actually I used these items in my formal office days, and my officemate won’t believe that I bought these items in Bazaar. As I say, it’s the way you carry yourself and be comfy to flaunt your style. Because your style tells who you are.  Just keep in mind that I can be fashionable in my own way with of course in an inexpensive way.  I proved them even my get up are from Divisoria I still standout against others. I just know how to mix and match plus accessories is the key to success for a fashionable you. 

Acne 101 version 2.0

Acne is one my problem during my puberty stage, but until now still it exists. I just want know on how to control or eliminate this acne blemishes and scars. I used commercial products like ponds, dove and eskinol  but nothing happens. I’m very conscious on my face I think it’s very sensitive but I continually do self medication. It’s the wrong way that I did in my life, to do things without proper knowledge on how to cure this acne.

Last month I consult I dermatologist in Borough medical clinic at Eastwood Quezon city.  The Doctor said, my acne was not severe at all, it was already healed and all I need is to eliminate those acne marks. And she suggested to use cream or lotion that contains SPF during morning and at night use whitening cream.  I wish this SPF and whitening cream will be my answered prayer.  Aside from that the doctor agreed that I may still continue to used Celeteque Facial wash and Moisturizer.

Along with my curiosity and search for acne resolution, I go to National Book Store Gateway Cubao Branch to find a book about acne. This store used an automated computer to locate the specific subject that you need. Luckily, they have one available book for only Php. 25.00. This book contains information that you need about pimples, the author also provide home remedies or Do it yourself medication.

Throw back Thursday_College Crush

It’s a throwback Thursday. The best thing to share is my college crushes which I truly adore.  While surfing and looking back my facebook account, I saw this picture that I saved in my photo album. Pictures that I keep secretly but now revealed. Actually, this photo is not mine; I got this picture from his Facebook account. This guy is from Philippine Maritime Academy (PMA) and we have common friend which is my classmate in high school at Antipolo City.

 As I see his Facebook account my eyes caught this handsome guy which is I feel the blush in my cheeks, then I added him in my friend list, Luckily he accepted my friend request.  As days goes by I always visited his account and I also has a chance to have a little chit chat with him. The most remarkable was birthday massage posted in my wall. A simple message that makes my birthday complete.  I don’t know why I should pose this, maybe it’s because I’m just a human being who adulates the beautiful creation of our dear creator.  I’m just a gay who adore someone like him.

4 HOURS OF SLEEP = SLEEPING BEAUTY

It’s hard to go to work if you know to yourself that you need an adequate 8 hours of sleep.  Honestly, sleeping is one of my hobbies; I consumed 12 hours of sleep during weekends. Yesterday I have to submit our report to my boss and I need to render my excess time to finish my report on time, because of that I left the office at 2:00am but I go back to our office and decided to sleep in my working cubicle. Though the company provided Sleeping area/lounge for agents and other staff but at that moment it is fully occupied.   I have no choice but to sleep in my table. So I wake up at 5:30am and decided to go home to take a bath. Oh my gosh, my schedule for today is 8:00am, I reached our house at 6:15am and take a bath for only 15 minutes , then it’s time to go back to work. Thank God I made on time. Thank God it’s Thursday no heavy traffic along my way.  In a moment, I ask myself if I’m workaholic. Or I just do my task as an employee aligned in my duties and responsibilities?   Or simply I loved my WORK. 

Over Time

Today is our deadline in our respective AR Accounts. I’ve been here in the company for almost 8 months, and these 8 months is very routinely.  We do confidential transaction to meet the corporate satisfaction and business profitability.  I always sacrifice my first week of the month to meet the required reports.  But if I look into positive sides, we have budget allowance if we render overtime, our over stayed hours in the office are paid accurately based on our time keeping, and this over time are allotted to pay my cut-off taxes. Time check its 10:15pm Philippine time; hope I can finish it within today. I hope I’m still alive; more coffee more fun.

Star-Crossed Love_Indie Film

Indie film (Independent Film) caters local and International Cinema. Filipinos also showcase their talents not only in the Philippines but also in the whole world of cinematography.  This kind of film explicit reality in our society.   When I was in 4^th year college I was hooked in this kind of film because its tackles social taboos, politics, teenage sex, morality, religion, gay, prostitutes, social norms and poverty.

One of the indie film that I really love is entitled “ LAPIT NA ME, LIGO NA U” it was first published from a book same title as to Indi film. This book was written by Eros Atalia.  I remember the day that I read this book in National Bookstore Gateway cubao, it is sealed with a plastic cover but I slit it and open the plastic cover and silently reading the book at the book shelve. I was standing the around 5^th lines of surrounded bookshelves around every corner of the store.  Honestly, I don’t have the money to buy the book so the next day I remember the page where I stopped then its time continue in reading this book. Until I came to the final pages that break my heart.  There’s no closure. Unfortunately, the chapter 2 of the book was not there, maybe there’s no stock available, or maybe the clerk noticed me that I’m reading it secretly so they hide on the other shelves or floor. 

Same with film it captures every idea or theme that the book wanted to imply. Love, sex, family, perks, friendship, religion and beliefs. This film is like a FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS Filipino version, but I might say that this film give its own direction. It incarcerates the idea of love with no label and closure. That love among teenagers has no label at all. The love doesn’t need tag to say that you’re belonging to each other. Physical union and oneness of body is great without asking a question how great it is. Lastly, I hope the second book would also narrated into motion picture/ Indi film. 

Divisoria Bazaar – For all walks of Life

Divisoria is one of the well-known bazaars in the Philippines and it’s located in the heart of manila. Last Saturday (November 30, 2013) I went to Divisoria to buy some gifts for myself and for my  family and friends. Since I was in college, I love to go to Divisoria because of its diverse fashion for less outfits, glamorous house decors with conviction, affordable price for kids toys and other merchandises.   Since then and going forward I noticed most of the retailers are Chinese with Filipino sales lady or store assistant, Outside the 999 mall and 168 mall are Filipino Merchants, Koreans also invaded the 999 mall with their finest Korean garments and fancy shoes.

Note that this flea market also offers price down healthy fruits like oranges, apples, grapes etc. For apples the general price is Php. 100.00 for big 4 pieces or per bunch; grapes is Php. 30.00 per ½ kilo; Oranges is  Php. 50.00 for 4 pieces, etc.

Here are some price scheme references if you go to Divisoria:

1.       Slippers- Php.  35.00- Php 100.00 depends on the class and design of slipper

2.       Shoes-    Php.  300.00- Php 600.00 mimic shoes, Marikina shoes, imitated shoes

Hungry Lunch at Tokyo Bubble Tea

Everyone deserves a heavy meal. Everyone deserves something extravagant and scrumptious Chicken and Beef Katsu Cary and other lip-smacking Ramen. This is my first time to taste the special menu of Tokyo Bubble Tea. It expresses its original flavor from Japan.  It serves hot and delectable Ramen, Teriyaki, Japanese Fried Chicken, Teppan and Tempura.

Paradise that never sleep- BORACAY!

I want to share with you my extravagant experience in Boracay.  This lavish Island surrounded by beautiful and hospitable Filipinos plus different nationalities wanted to experience the wonder of nature.   Actually, I would like to thank my friend Joy Andama for our special sponsor. I and my friends named: Arjay, Enteng, Liezel and jao landed in Aklan last April 2012 ( late post). This is my first time to travel 350 Kilometers away from manila riding on a bus and Roro Boat. It is petrifying but I had fun because of the sea breeze and amazed at the same time of water structure surrounded the entire island.

From Manila to Batangas to Caticlan. Finally, along journey starts and rolling here.  I like the concept of riding in “balsa” were in your like a high end tourist of your own country.  Then approaching the Boracay Island was superb.  I feel the excitement in my veins.  It’s time to power up.

Sunday that never sleep!

It’s awkward why I can’t sleep early at 10:00pm. I should go to sleep earlier because I have to report early tomorrow at 7:00am in the office.  Suddenly it’s magic. I decided to turn on the television. Over this week all news reportedly covers the typhoon Haiyan.  This is havoc typhoon washed out shelters, crops, lives and industries. As I turned on  the tv abs-cbn(channel 2) gives a tribute to all the victims of typhoon. An all-star concert that all proceeds will be added on Sagip Kapamilya Fund. This is a very clever program to rebuild the spirit of hope and trust to all Filipinos. Unselfish way to ease the pain and trauma of unexpected calamity.   Then, I feel sleepy. Its  11:34pm,  better time to go bed.

Sunday-Oh Sunday!

It’s a Sunday.  Family day. A day to renew my spirit.  A time for reflection.  A time to watch movie. A time to clean my room. The most momentous is to go to church. But it’s an irony.  Sunday is something I don’t like the most of day. I feel like I’m a walking dead. I just want to sleep all day long. I’m tired to get up, to eat, to clean my room, to wash the dishes, and to go to church.  It’s just a tradition of our society to go to church every Sunday. I pray but not always, I trust and believed in God, but not always, I’m not atheist, I’m not a true Christian. I have my own believe. I believed in the holy bible. I believe in holy trinity. But I don’t believe in relics and statues around the church. 

So far as I know I’m a catholic but my heart is not 100% devoted in catholic principles, law and admiration. I just feel God inside me, I don’t see him physically but I know every day in my life I feel him. I feel his presence. I feel his glorious power in such unpredictable ways. We have our own belief, culture and tradition but mine is unique.  Maybe it’s my own understanding in such way bible is a meaningful piece of revelation. My advice is to read the bible cover by cover, page by page, words by words, verse by verse and chapter by chapter. And you will close to reality. Amen!

Hello Bohol- Chocolate Hills

Top of the Hill

After 21 years of my existence, finally my footsteps are here in Bohol. I and my friends decided to go in this wonderful place. My friend Julie Aligor lived here together with his boyfriend, they invited me to their place for a free accommodation plus a trip to Chocolate Hills, I grabbed it like so badly because Im on state of soul searching, not because  I’m unemployed  nor broken hearted but because I’m seeking for the right path for my career. Yes, I’m employed but after a few months a feel tired, unmotivated, unworthy and uncoordinated. I heard negative feedbacks but I don’t care         as long as a do my job accordingly. Some people drag me down but I stand alone and proved them I was not stubborn.

Here I’m staring the beautiful creation of dear Lord! I scream!!!! Words never heard before. I’m not stupid! I’m worthy! I’m just a human being sometimes made mistakes. Feels like my soul running in my veins, all my angst was released. After that it is relief feeling! I was renewed, a feel like a brand new product, a new glowing flower.

This chance is exceptional, I don’t have to waste my time on negative thoughts,  I believed I was renewed , so it’s time to  break down all the positive vibes.  Seeing the beautiful chocolates is natural incomparable, upon walking you will amaze with the very green and glowing hills that are perfectly arranged. The distance of each hill seems so near to each other.  Like a friend to each to other that creates harmonious relationship. This one thing that I can be proud of; though I not own it at least our country has something to be proud of.

Make a Wish!

Aside from the famous hills, you will also see a big bell on the top of the highest hill that we are standing. This bell is also exciting because every visitors will throw a piece of coin on the wishing well then you will ring the bell, this is traditional way if you want to wish a simple thing in this place. Why not to have a wish? There’s nothing wrong in trying.

Lastly, this escapade was not an ordinary vacation. I feel new again. With help of the beautiful scenes I able to find myself. 

Daranak Falls-Rock!

The Majestic Waterfalls

This is a perfect gateway against smoky, polluted, beat of loud music of metro manila. Calling all nature lovers come on and go pack your things right now!  This is limitless opportunity to witness its gracious creation. This is my 2^nd time to be in Daranak Falls. My first one when I was 4^th year college (2012). And that time I decided to go back here because I’m a big fun of this wonderful picturesque. All my stress was gone when I reach the falls. The water fall downs like a massage on your body. Like a magic that creates a sweetest feeling.

For all adventurers all over the world, you can reach the Daranak Falls even when commuting public vehicles. From Antipolo Church( Philippines) you will start your journey here. You can first drop by at the miraculous Our Lady of good Voyage for safe trip. Then, ride a tricycle going to Shopwise (usually Php.25.00 fee). Then, go down and ride a Jeepney, the route is Tanay Palangke (usually Php. 30.00) after you reach the final station then ride a tricycle going to Daranak falls. (usually Php. 100.00) this is  a full pack ride. Daranak Falls opens Monday-Sunday from 8am-4pm only.

Balancing Stones

Aside from the very relaxing waterfalls,   you will also witness a fabulous Balancing Stones, every guess/visitors created their version of balancing stone. This is how you make your own trade mark that other photographer wanted to capture.  Well, don’t worry on where to find these precious stone because it’s all around the corner. It’s free and very recreational. When I was there, I witnesses that mostly people go there with their families and friends; some are motorist, and also few foreigners. 

So friends, lets rock our summer or even special holidays on this exciting nature adventure.!

The Wedding of an Awesome Girl!

Isn’t she beautiful? Wearing a sacred dress of every woman wanted to wear.  Beautiful dress tells a story of love and compassion. Dress that start a new chapter of her life. She really wanted to make this night so perfect and memorable; no one can ruin a fated ceremony of one in lifetime experience, happily I was part of the wedding and reception ceremony.  She’s my former colleague in our previous company. She’s very kind and humble to everyone regardless of the hierarchical position and she always smile that makes her beautiful.   We’ve been friends/ acquaintance for almost 8 months, before I resigned at the company I assured to her that I will be at her wedding day.

 Thanks to her my talent was shown as the Emcee (Master of Ceremony) at her Reception ritual. This is my very first time to be a  host of a formal gathering, it’s nerve rocking experience but I do believe I will make it because she trust in me. Happily I made up to the end of the ritual. I saw the happiness and tears at her. But I would say best wishes my friend, a very strong and lovable woman!  Your husband was so lucky because your exceptional and one in a million. I wish you more children and eternal happiness and contentment.

Beauty with the Purpose

Philippines joined the Miss world since 1966. This year we nailed it, Ms. Megan Young crowned as the new princess of Miss World 2013 held at Indonesia. She’s also the first ever Filipino crowned the international title. This is amazing because this is the first time in the history that Indonesia open their country for this one of kind opportunity. And Filipino also jived in this history. During pre-pageant, candidates are challenge in different aspects like sport, fashion modeling, promotions on social media, talent portion and photo shoot. After all this challenges, Ms. Megan ranked as top 1 among other beautiful contestant. She also hailed as best Top Model during the Fashion Show.

Beauty with the purpose is hard to define. If we look into different perspective, I can see that beauty is kindness, promotions and core values. Kindness to reach out what the organization believed with, to exercise humanity as its fullest, to provide neat water to Haiti community, to educate people on proper hygiene, to help the other country who needs medical and dental attention. Promotion is one effective marketing strategy to hear what the organizations wanted to say to the world. And using Social Medias is the effective way. I like the concept of this year pageant, they posted their clamor on facebook  to help endangered species of Indonesia. Through this people in the world they can see what really happen in our ecosystem, unbalance habitat, destructed forest and deforestation. Lastly, core values of the organization, this is the most momentous attitude that a Miss World (MW) should embody. If you push on what you believe for, this core values moves you on what you can help and achieve for the organization. And that core values nailed by Ms. Megan at the question and answer portion on why she is suits to become a Miss World 2013.

Moreover, as an ordinary individual, I was hypnotized on this pageant not only because they are beautiful but the concept and principles of this competition. That’s why this contest rock the world because of their kindness that reveals within, the willingness to help who’s on need, morale that uplifts humanity and beauty that adage amazing girl power!.

Body Measurement-Guide to Style

Taking your body measurement is essential most likely if your into fashion and shopping. Guys and Girls take note of your body measurement. Your clothes and style tells who you are. Here are the basic measurement you must remember:

This basic measurement inter corporate the basic dress making application. This is something I missed in my 2 months dress making class. The first lesson that we have to remember for us to solely create our own desire clothes. Knowing your basic body measurements avoid misguide, unfitted dresses.

Design 101

Since I was 7 years old, I want to be a fashion designer, I draw a lot of sketches on back of my notebook, I was hooked with fashion magazines, project Runway seasons, clothing apparel, designers name, and everything about fashion. Then here I am  22 years old, chasing my on destination in field of dressmaking. I decided to enter in this industry to achieve missing part of my life. Who knows I can make it or even failed with it? Just a simple thread, pin, patterns, fabric, and sewing machine and all my worries fade away. Its a little hard to enter into dressmaking making course while you are working, it comes with conflict of schedule, stress and month end reports. But I believed that everything conspire us to do what ever we want makes me motivated. I prove them right, the fruit of 2 months was end to a runway. A small room that made my dream come true... The dress that I made plus  I wore during our mini fashion show.
